Same thing. I tried resetting the PMU, the PRAM. I brought it to my boyfriend’s house. Nothing. Whirrrrrrrrr. That night, I hopped on my iPhone, made a 9:00 Genius appointment at the Apple Store at Grand Central. Got there early, and was pleasantly surprised that they took me early (that has NEVER happened to me before). They tried resetting everything. Suggested a trip to Tekserve. Went to Tekserve after work, and they pronounced it dead. I had my iBook G4 for well over 6 years and knew I was due for an upgrade, but I put it off since getting a new machine isn’t exactly cheap.
